Cool an idea for Guild Wars and gamers

I used to play a lot of Guild Wars back in the day I had a good PC to my name...now all I have left is a Nintendo Wii...just the other day I was playing it and after that I had seen something about Guild Wars and I thought about how much fun it used to be to play it...so I was thinking, wouldn't it be cool if they remade the Guild Wars series or a version of it for the Wii console? I know I'd like it...what do you guys think?

true it's a computer game...but to me, a game is a game...I don't care what you use to play it or how you play it...I have a Wii to my name and yes I would like to play a game that I enjoy you know what I'm saying?

I guess that would be a lot of work to port the code from PC to Wii. Given that their business model apparently did not allow them to even port it to Linux, there's even less chance to see it on Wii (...unless there's a big deal between Anet/NCsoft and Nintendo, similar to the one with Sony ...).

From what I've seen of Zelda on Wii, I think it'd be weird to play GW on the Wii because of the lack of keyboard (though there's one).

Fun idea, but not a chance!

Way too much coding. Way to difficult to port. The game is not designed for this. Not going to happen.

Umm... buy Zelda or get a new computer.

simple answer No besides that it was posted while back NCsoft made a deal with SONY for the PS3 and PSP ...exclusively...already bad nuff thinkin bout that. Since ANet is a part of NCsoft i doubt Wii would get there hands on it .

Write to Nintendo, so they can say to you "Guild What?"

There was a TON of speculation a year or so ago that World of Warcraft was going to be released on the Xbox 360.

In fact, a Microsoft news conference was scheduled to announce a "significant online addition" to the 360. Everyone was certain the announcement was about WoW, but inexplicably, the news conference was later cancelled.

I have a feeling that Blizzard probably had planned before WoW was released to eventually bring the game to a console. But sales for WoW went skyhigh, and suddenly such a move wasn't so appealing.

To this day, the big concern for Blizzard is the same as it is for other game companies...if they port an online game from the PC to a console, will gamers from the PC be able to play with gamers from the console? It seems simple enough, but apparently, it isn't so easy to create a network for both camps. Blizzard claims WoW isn't on a console currently because of that concern. Personally, I think it isn't out because sales for WoW are good, so there is little incentive for them to PAY Microsoft for the rights to release their game on Microsoft's 360.

Now that consoles are copying the format of PCs, I would imagine that it will only get easier to bring online games to consoles.
